Great Writers: George Orwell, Animal Farm, 1984
Orwell is known for his dystopian view of the World.
Animal Farm is a fable about Russia and the Communist revolution that reshaped Russia from a monarchy to a dictatorship. The Pigs drive the Farmer off and take control of the farm. They slowly subjugate and control the rest of the animals to the point of the animal wishing Farmer Jones were still in charge.
1984 is also about a military takeover of the world which, by design, is always at war. There is a controlling hierarchy with most everyone else totally controlled by the state, by television, by drugs, and by propaganda.
